Ameliorez Votre Francais aims to do just what it says, i.e. Improve Your French. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, from 10am to 12pm in each other's homes.
We study at intermediate level, though the spread of ability in the group is quite wide, and the more fluent French speakers help those who are less so. We take it in turns to lead the group, each "Professor " researches and presents something for reading and discussion.
We also choose a book to read together; our present one is a classic, an adapted version of "Vingt Mille Lieues Sous les Mers" by Jules Verne.
From late October, we will have a new regular tutor in our group. Julian McCarthy speaks excellent French and even lived in the south of France for some time. There are ten of us in the group at present, so we have no vacancies.
