The emphasis of the group is to use our German knowledge and improve our ability to converse in German. At present, we benefit from a retired German teacher in the group and an English lady living in Berlin (via Zoom) to help us with grammar and pronunciation. We often read and translate some text, e.g. news or magazine articles; short stories, which can lead to general conversation on the topic/style of German and during the Zoom call we catch up on personal news and anything which members wish to discuss.
